Police said two people were killed in a shooting in Las Vegas gym late Friday night, including suspected gunman, and injured at least three others.According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Understand Andref Andrew Walsh, bullets exploded at the Las Vegas Athletic Club on the west side of the city, where a man was declared dead on the spot.Officials who responded to the incident shot the suspect as he tried to escape from the campus. He was later declared dead in a local hospital.Three persons suffered injuries and were taken to hospitals in the area, in which a person was reported to be in critical condition.Walsh said that the public is no longer in danger, while the authorities try to understand a motive behind the attack.In a statement by Klas-TV, eyewitness Claudio Vigani recalled, “he said that exit, exit, exit,” who was present in the gym when the shooting started. “Then I saw the dead man next to the machine”, Vigani said.Gary Steward and another person were on their way around the time of the incident to go to the gym. Steward informed the Las Vegas Journal that a round for a nutrition shop inadvertently stopped being caught in the tragedy to save his life.“It’s just a strange feeling,” said Steward. “It’s strange. Shoots a gym?”According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, around 47,000 people have died in the US due to gun -related injuries in 2023.
