New Delhi: A day after announcing his retirement from Test cricket, Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma traveled to Vrindavan to search for spiritual guidance. Premanand ji Maharaj But Shri Radha Kelly Kunj AshramKohli formally saw the journey a day after bringing the curtain down on the career of a famous red ball, which saw him representing India in 123 trials, scoring an average of 9,230 runs in 46.85 including 30 centuries.A video of the couple meeting with Premnand Ji Maharaj has gone viral on social media. As he greeted the spiritual leader, a brief is yet a heartfelt exchange:Premanand Ji Maharaj: “Are you praised?” (Are you happy?)Kohli: “G, Abhi Thik Han.” (Yes I am fine.)The Guru then offered Kohli an extended Pep Talk to encouraged him to stay and spiritually grounded.Kohli and Anushka listened deeply because Premanand Ji Maharaj talked about the importance of introspection and the transformative power of chanting the Lord’s name honestly – a way that he said that he goes to inner peace and spiritual liberation.The couple spent more than three hours at the ashram located near Varaha Ghat. After his spiritual conversation, Kohli also visited several initiatives being run by the ashram and paid his honor in the nearby Hermitage of Gaurani Sharan Maharaj, the spiritual patron of Premanand Ji Maharaj.
This was Kohli’s third visit to the ashram – he first came on January 10, 2024 and 4 January 2023.Kohli’s test retirement marks the end of an era. As captain, he inspired India to win 40 in 68 tests – by any Indian captain till date.
