Ukraine proceeds to confirm important resources amidst the ongoing struggle

Ukraine’s Parliament on Thursday determined to vote with the United States to vote with the United States that Kiev hoped to pave the way for further military support.The deal signed in Washington last week will see Washington and Kiev jointly developing Ukraine’s natural resources and minerals.Achieving a new agreement was seen as a diplomatic success for Kiev, which came after the White House struggle between Donald Trump and Volodimier Zelancesi, which derailed from an original deal which was ready to be signed.Ukraine’s economy minister Yulia Sevidenco said in a briefing on Thursday, “We hope that we will successfully fulfill the objective support today.”Kiev was initially hoping that the United States would provide security guarantee to help prevent future Russian attacks in exchange for preferential access to Ukraine’s mineral resources.But Washington refused, instead arguing that promoting its commercial interests in Ukraine would serve as a child against Russia itself. It is not clear how quickly any concrete profit can be kept from the agreement.The fight is still fierce in the east and many resource deposits of Ukraine lie in the Russian army occupied areas. Washington, who has been the greatest backer of Kiev, indicated that the deal was necessary if Ukraine wanted to get such support.Under the agreement, new military aid from Washington can be counted as its contribution to the Joint Investment Fund. Trump has repeatedly criticized tens of billions of dollars in the military support provided by his predecessor Joe Biden.He was originally demanding to pay “compensation” for that support, although the current version of the document does not mention the loan for previous aid packages.“We have managed to ensure that the agreement is justified. The main principle is that the management is 50-50. There is no use of any side, there is no dictatorial from both sides, and the decisions are taken with consensus,” Svyrydenko said.
