SC wants the center’s response to ‘illegal clinical tests’ in Gujarat

Visible for NGO, Swastiya Adhikar ManchSenior advocate Sanjay Parkh informed a bench of Justice PS Narasimha and J Bagchi that the tests were conducted in the absence of a moral committee, which is mandatory under the rules of new drugs and clinical trials, 2019.
The hospital was accused of illegal clinical trials, with the support of the news reports published in TOI, in an affidavit, which was filed in the main petition, stating how large multinational pharma companies are doing clinical tests without following the rules and regulations provided under the rules and regulations, and are treating those people as Gunia.
The NGO said, “After knowing about these clinical trials, the Ahmedabad Municipal Commissioner formed an inquiry committee, which highlighted irregularities in its report, and recommended action against those who do wrong things.”
