Vijayawada: At least seven people died and many others were injured after a wall Shri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple Officials said Simhachalam fell after heavy rains and strong winds on Wednesday.

Reacting to the tragedy, former BJP MLC Madhav expressed his grief over the time of fall and nature, especially when it matched with an important religious occasion.
He said, “This is an unfortunate incident on the occasion of Akshay Tritia … It happened at 2.30 am … The government will investigate the incident and compensate the victims,” he said.
