‘Does terrorists have time for this?’

New Delhi: Congress MLA Vijay Wadeetiver The question of Maharashtra has become disputed whether the terrorists involved in the Pahalgam terror attack on 22 April actually verify the religious identity of the victims before the killings.
Wadativer called upon the central government to take responsibility for the attack and ensure that the culprits be punished.
“The government should take responsibility for the Pahalgam terrorist attack. They (government) are saying that the terrorists killed people after asking them (about their religion). Does terrorists have time for all this?” Congress MLA Said.
He said, “Some people say that this does not happen. Terrorists have no caste or religion. People who are responsible and take action. This is the spirit of the country.”
Focusing on Vadativar’s comment, the Bhartia Janata Party overshadowed the Congress and suggested “Pakistan out of the competition to become a proxy partner of Pakistan.”
BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said, “Some people need to get out of the competition to become a proxy partner of Pakistan. It is neither interested in his interest nor in the interest of the country.”
“When they are asking for action against Pakistan in a voice, what kind of political advantage are they trying to take?” He said.
BJP national spokesperson Shahzad Poonwale also claimed that Congress leaders are competing to give a clear chit to Pakistan.
“Congress leaders are competing to give a clean chit to Pakistan one after the other … now Vijay Wadativer says that the government is responsible, Pakistan is not responsible and is there any evidence that the terrorists have killed people on the basis of religion. This is not being said for the first time.
He said, “In the all-party meeting, they will say that Pakistan is responsible, take action against Pakistan, take action against terrorists, we are with you. And after the all-party meeting, they say do not take action against Pakistan,” he said.
Terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir Pahgam area near the popular tourist city took place in Besaran Meadow.
This was one of the most deadly attacks in the region since the 2019 Pulwama strike, resulting in the death of 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel.
In response to the incident, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has increased its efforts to gather evidence. Teams led by senior officials including IG, DIG, and SP from Terror Anti-Terror Agency have been posted at the Pahgam attack site from 23 April.
