J&K: The gunmen killed the citizen in Kupwara in the valley. Bharat News

Srinagar: A citizen was shot dead by unidentified gunmen late Saturday during a power outage in Kupwara district of North Kashmir, four days later, militants killed 26 people in a meadow near the resort city in Pahgam.
Officials said Ghulam Rasool MagrePolice said suspected militants entered the residence, took him out, and set him on fire, seriously injured him. Local people took him to a hospital in Srinagar, but died around 2 pm.
Magre’s mother said, “There was no electricity at that time, which made it impossible for me to identify them.” Magre, who was unmarried, is alive by her mother.
Sources said Magre’s brother Ghulam Mohidin is located in Magre PoK and is believed to be an active operative of the banned Lashkar-e-Tabiba terrorist group.
Langte MLA Khurshid Ahmed Sheikh, brother of MP’s engineer Rashid’s brother Rashid, called for accountability. “I want to know what the government is doing to stop such killings. The government should take such killings seriously. Those unknown gunmen involved in their murder should be made accountable.”
Sajad Lone, president of the People’s Conference, also demanded a thorough investigation. The police have registered a case and started an investigation.
