New Delhi: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has strongly responded to the anti-India statements of Pakistani politician Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, announcing that India will “hunt terror” after the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam.
Responding to Bhutto Zardari’s comments after the Pahalgam terror attack, Sarma referred to a video clip pointing to Pakistan’s violent history, with Bilawal priced at his grandfather and mother. “There is a long and bloody history of betrayal in Pakistan – it claimed the life of Bilawal Bhutto’s grandfather and mother. It is sad that an unqualified son today chooses to humiliate his sacrifice. I carry on my deep furnaces in advance, the path that is chosen is in only one post.
He said, “Allow it to be completely clear – no one can stop India from taking decisive action to keep their respect and people safe.”
Bilawal’s family history includes his mother, former Prime Minister of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto, who was murdered, and his grandfather, former PM Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, who was killed by Pakistani authorities.
Sarma also said that India is committed to strongly respond to its dignity and protecting citizens under PM Modi. “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India will hunt terror and end the infrastructure of terror wherever it is.”
In the case of the Indus Waters Treaty, Sarma said, “India’s national security is non-parasical. The water of the Indus is ours-and they will remain without thinking and eternal.”
India has officially informed Pakistan of immediate suspension of the Indus Water Treaty, citing violations of Pakistan’s agreement. India’s Water Resources Secretary, Debashree Mukherjee informed his Pakistani counterpart, Syed Ali Murtaza that Pakistan’s ongoing border terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir violated India’s rights under the treaty.
It comes after a terrorist attack in Jammu and Pahalgam of Kashmir claimed the lives of 26 people. The Cabinet Committee (CCS), led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was called to address the gravity of the attack. After deliberations, the committee reached an important decision about the 1960 Indus Water Treaty. The treaty will be suspended with immediate effect and until Pakistan “reliable and irreversible ends its support for cross -border terrorism, it will remain until then,” India announced India.
