Israel Military Intercept Missile: Israel says intercepted missile from Yemen, drone ‘East’

Jerusalem: The Israeli army said on Saturday that it had stopped a missile fired from Yemen, whose Huthi rebels have started attacks in the Gaza war, as well as a drone coming from the east.
A military statement said, “After a recent siren in many areas in Israel, a missile that was introduced from Yemen was intercepted”, “Before crossing in the Israeli region”, a military statement said.
The Huthi later announced a “military operation”, targeting the Nevtim Air Base in southern Israel, claiming that “the missile reached its target”.
In a separate event, the Israeli army stated that a drone “which was on its way from the east to the Israeli region” was stopped by the Air Force.
Yemen, large parts of which are under the control of Iran-backed Huhehis, is located in the south-east of Israel.
Other East countries of Israel include Iraq, where Tehran-emerged militants have claimed several attacks targeting Israel since the Gaza war began.
Hathi rebels repeatedly launched missiles and drones in Israel as the war in Gaza in October 2023. They say there is a performance of solidarity with Palestinians.
Huthi has also targeted ships that they accuse to have a relationship with Israel as they travel on the Red Sea – an important waterway for global trade.
He temporarily stopped his attacks during a recent two -month ceasefire in Gaza.
According to Israel’s Army Radio, an overnight missile was intercepted, when he resumed his attacks after Israel’s renewed by Israel on 18 March, he was evacuated since then.
