64k crore deal for 26 Rafale-M jet should be ink with France on Monday

New Delhi: A deal of Rs 63,887 crore (Euro 6.6 billion) with France for direct acquisition of 26 Rafael-Merin fighter jets, which will be operated primarily from the deck of the indigenous aircraft carrier INS Wirent, will be ink on Monday.
Unable to determine it first in India with French Defense Minister Sebstian Lecornu, deal for 22 single-seat Rafael-M jets And four twin-seat coaches, including some weapons, simulators, crew training, MRO (maintenance, repair and operation) and five-year performance-based logistics support, ink will be installed by senior Indian and French officials in New Delhi.
The inter-governmental agreement will be placed by two defense ministers “far from” to “from far”. The deal includes some parts and equipment for 36 Rafales already incorporated by IAF under a contract of Rs 59,000 crore in Sept 2016, as reported by TOI earlier.
