3 patients killed in a fire in a hospital in German city of Hamburg

Breathing equipment and a ladder truck work with firefighting, Hamburg, Germany (AP) at Mariencrankenhus Hospital Berelin: Three patients were killed and many were injured, one of them seriously, in a fire, which broke overnight in a hospital in the German city of Hamburg, said on Sunday.Firefighters were alerted for the blast in the hospital, Marienkrankenhaus immediately after midnight. It broke into a room in the surface, on the ground floor of the building, and spread to the top floor facade. Smoke spread over the four floors of the building.It was not immediately clear what the fire is.The German news agency DPA said the fire department said that three adult patients were killed and more than 30 people were injured. Among them, one was in a state of life, 18 suffered serious injuries and 15 hurt. The authorities initially gave a high figure for mild injuries and said two people were seriously hurt.A part of the hospital had to be emptied. The injured patients were mostly treated at the hospital, although two were taken to nearby clinics. The fire was extinguished within about 20 minutes.The firefighters said they were called to help several patients on the windows.
