IPL 2025: Cricket News pays tribute to Pahgam Terror Attack victims before Cab KKR vs PBKS match

In a tribute to the victims of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Cricket Association of Bengal (Cab) saw a minute’s silence between IPL matches Kolkata Knight Riders And Punjab kings But Garden of Eden On Saturday. The customary ringing of the iconic Eden Bell was also left as a mark of respect.

Cab president Snehish Ganguly, Secretary Naresh Ojha, Treasurer Prabir Chakraborty, Joint Secretary Debbata Das and other officials were present for the occasion. Former Australian cricketer and Punjab Kings Assistant Coach Brad Hadin also attended the tribute.

The tragic attack on Tuesday in Anantnag district of South Kashmir claimed the lives of 26 people, most of them, and many others were injured.
After the tribute, Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and chose to bat first. PBK made two changes in its lineup, bringing Glenn Maxwell and Azmatullah Omarjai for Marcus Stoinis and Xavier Bartlett. Kolkata Knight Riders also reshuffled their team, which included Rowman Powell and Chetan Sakaria in place of Moen Ali and Ramandeep Singh.
