Agra: A 20 -year -old woman was dropped from her hijab and her male colleague (32), who was attacked by a group of men while returning home on a bike after work in Muzaffarnagar, UP. According to Sudeep Lavania’s report, six people have been arrested so far.
DSP Raju Kumar said that the incident took place at 4 pm on Saturday evening. “The pair associated with a finance bank, Darzi Wali was attacked in the Galli area. We have found video evidence. Will follow more arrests.”
An alleged clip of the event, widely shared on online Sunday, shows a man forcibly showing a woman’s hijab, while others misbehave and push her. After stopping the crowd, his colleague was also beaten, asked his names, and attacked him. In her complaint, the woman said that while returning from EMI collection, 8–10 men assaulted her. “They filmed it and threatened to broadcast it,” she said.
An FIR has been registered under relevant BNS sections.
